In 1999, 10 farming families from the Schaffhausen region decided to open a market hall in the old fire station in the heart of Schaffhausen. Following the motto "The countryside comes to the city," various farming families offer their diverse products three times a week at the Puure Märkt.

The traditional Spring Market annually attracts the people of Schaffhausen to the city center to admire the various stalls. At the numerous stands, goods of all kinds can be purchased: handicrafts, household items, jewelry, food, and spices – everything is included.

The market's program is rounded off with stalls selling Christmas items and handcrafted products.
