June 7, 2024

Swiss Transit Lab Line 13 has been in operation in the city of Schaffhausen since April 2023. The STL Line 13 has not only attracted the attention of Schaffhausen residents, but has also attracted international attention. This is because the self-driving bus “Ryder” is revolutionizing automated driving.

With grass blooming on the roadside or deep snow in frosty temperatures, the autonomous bus from the Swiss Transit Lab, also known as “Ryder”, has been proving itself to be a robust and reliable means of public transport for over a year. Ryder” is the first automated vehicle to function without seasonal interruptions in day-to-day operations. This makes the Schaffhausen STL Line 13 an international showcase model for automated driving.
