Mobility of the future at the Swiss Transit Lab Schaffhausen

The Swiss Transit Lab is a unique platform for research and development of new mobility technologies in a real-world environment.


The Schaffhausen Swiss Transit Lab (STL) is an initiative and an association of private companies and the public transport company Schaffhausen. Since 2017, it has formed a platform for research and development under real-life conditions. The STL has attracted national and international attention with the deployment of an automated vehicle, thus establishing Schaffhausen as a center of excellence for the mobility of the future. The Swiss Transit Lab invites interested parties from business, science and society to jointly design solutions for the mobility of the future. 

The STL is an initiative of private companies - from the areas of mobility, information technologies, smart city -, the transport company Schaffhausen VBSH as well as the regional and location development of the canton of Schaffhausen.
