At the end of June 2024, Constructor Institute Schaffhausen organized an academic workshop, where faculty members, PhD and postdoc researchers presented their works. The event provided a unique opportunity to gain insights into cutting-edge research and technological advancements aimed at positively impacting lives.
Constructor Institute’s professors and researchers presented their research projects in short lectures. They offered insights into new approaches to software verification, analyzed intelligent monitoring of complex ecosystems, and highlighted advances in quantum computing: from data processing to software development.
The workshop was attended by over 40 participants, including students, alumni, guests from the region, and members of the Constructor network. It promoted collaboration, networking, and the exchange of innovative ideas, providing participants with valuable insights and inspiration for academic work in new technology fields. Prof. Bertrand Meyer, Provost and Professor of Software Engineering at the Constructor Institute, emphasized the importance of the event: "With the Constructor Institute, Schaffhausen has a university that conducts cutting-edge research in software technology, smart cities, quantum computing, and other forward-looking topics. An institution that also offers opportunities for the local economy."
Founded in 2019, the Constructor Institute in Schaffhausen offers two master's programs and several research chairs in the fields of software and quantum technologies and hosts an active PhD program. With these academic initiatives, Schaffhausen is filling a gap in the local and national educational landscape.
